Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Arcade Oven collects through arcadeoven.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 28 August 2026

Who we are

This website is operated by Arcade Oven Pty Ltd (“Arcade Oven”, “we”, “us”), an independent game development studio based in Waratah, NSW 2299, Australia (ABN 19 654 128 775). We are the data controller for personal information handled through this site.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where the EU or UK GDPR applies to visitors in those regions, we also aim to meet those standards.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, subject line and message. We only ask for what we need to reply to you.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs when a page is requested — your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you viewed, and the date and time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are not used to build a profile of you.

We do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or social-media pixels on this site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive information.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and any follow-up correspondence.
  • To operate, secure and maintain the website.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims if needed.

For visitors in the EU/UK, our legal bases are your consent and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and protecting the site, and legal obligation where applicable. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed:

  • Web3Forms — processes contact-form submissions and delivers them to us by email. See the Web3Forms privacy policy.
  • hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) — if spam protection is enabled on the contact form, hCaptcha processes limited technical data to tell humans from bots. See the hCaptcha privacy policy.
  • Nixihost — our web and email host. It stores the site files, generates the server logs described above, and runs the mailbox that receives your enquiry emails. Nixihost is based in the United States and may rely on its own infrastructure providers to deliver that service.
  • YouTube / Google — some pages embed YouTube videos using the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. Google only receives data if you press play. See the Google privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.

Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers above are located outside Australia (including in the United States and the EU). By using the contact form you consent to your information being handled in those locations. We take reasonable steps to use providers that offer appropriate safeguards.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set analytics or advertising cookies. The only cookies that may be set are:

  • hCaptcha may set a cookie when the contact form loads, to support its bot-detection.
  • YouTube may set cookies in your browser once you start playing an embedded video. Until then, the youtube-nocookie.com embed does not.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Google Search Console. We have verified this site with Google Search Console so we can see how it performs in Google Search (search terms, impressions, clicks). This is aggregated data reported to us by Google as a search engine — it does not add any tracking script or cookie to this website and does not identify individual visitors.

How long we keep it

Contact-form correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, then deleted. Server logs are retained by our host on a short rolling basis. Ask us and we’ll delete your correspondence sooner where we’re not required to keep it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we use reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Contact us using the details below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time (and within one month where the GDPR applies).

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). Visitors in the EU/UK may also contact their local data protection authority.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always at arcadeoven.com/privacy, with the “last updated” date at the top.

Contact us

For any privacy question or request — including to access, correct or delete your information — please use our contact form and put “Privacy” in the subject line. We’ll route it to the right person and reply within a reasonable time.
